Who is Eligible for These Scholarships?
To qualify, you need to meet the following requirements:
- You must be a citizen of an African country.
- You need to have international student status with a valid study permit.
- You must be newly admitted to an eligible undergraduate program at the University of Ottawa. The program should be taught in English or offer a French Immersion option.
- You should have an admission average of:
- 85%-89.9% for the Entrance Scholarship.
- 90% or higher for the Excellence Scholarship.

- Excellence Scholarship: CAD 20,000 per year (CAD 80,000 over 4 years).

How to Apply
The application process is simple. Here’s how you can apply:
- Step 1: Apply for admission to the University of Ottawa through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC).
- Step 2: Once your application is processed, you will receive a Student Number.
- Step 3: Log into the uoZone portal using your Student Number.
- Step 4: Upload your academic transcripts and other required documents.
